Elevator Pitch No.1

I have decided to change my idea from the "break room" to an app called Alike, for connecting like minded individuals in local areas.

I have an idea for an app. Everyday, people are missing out on life, because they lack companionship and or friends with similar interests. This app is for the college graduate who moves away from home to embark on their career. This app is also for families who move and set roots in a different city, state, or even country. People will enjoy and likely follow through with their decisions if hey have already made a connection with someone in the group. Much of this world is about who you know. I want to connect others and build relationships with people who share their same interests, hobbies, and passions. The idea is to make friends first then engage in  activities second. I ask you to invest $12,000 USD to jump-start my idea with me. Together we can connect local musicians, artists, athletes, weekend warriors, and more importantly friends with one another. Help me, help others connect and live the life they desire! Thank you.

  2. This app idea is interesting. I could see it being popular with younger college graduates. I think it would be beneficial to some businesses also. Restaurants who want live music may be able to use this app to find local musicians. I personally would not use it even though we move a lot. I think having kids in school and sports makes it easier to meet people and get aquatinted with your new neighborhood.

  3. Hi Marcos, I think your pitch was really good! You have a great presence and you projected your voice really well. I think you did a good job of describing your idea. For your next pitch, I would try to speak with a bit shorter pauses. I think that will help the pitch flow. Overall, great job!

  4. Good pitch, Marcos. Like Andrea, I think that shorter pauses would help continuity during your presentation. Well done.

  5. Once again, this is a great idea. I read your post on changing this to a social media app and I loved it. I also think you did an excellent job on your elevator pitch, and I feel like you would be able to connect to the people you are presenting this to. The only note is that you take your time a bit more when talking. Slow an steady will definitely get your message across more. Keep up the good work!
