My Exit Strategy

I do plan to hand over majority of power over to someone else in about five years. But this person must share the passion I do and want only the best for ALike.

I chose to give up a majority hold on ALike, because I want to go on and come up with other concepts. I want to keep working and providing for the world. This is why I still want to have a say when it comes to ALike’s future, but still available to find other opportunities I can exploit.

My exit strategy has only become a recent thought of mine. My search for opportunity, desire to grow, and my allocation of resources were not influenced by my exit strategy. I came into this concept with the focus and attitude to give a strong effort for my concept to succeed.

  1. Hi Marcos, I think that either this class has rubbed off on you or you have a very natural entrepreneurial side. From what I have grasped from being this class, the entrepreneurial spirit is all about thinking about what's next. I think your decision to leave the company in the hands of someone you trust after you have worked and grown the business for 5 years to pursue your next venture and bring something else to the world is just how most entrepreneurs think!

  3. Marcos,
I really enjoyed your exit strategy. I also would hand over my concept expect I selling to the highest bidder. However, I think this is a logical choice especially when you want to develop more concepts. I think finding someone that shares your same passion for this concept would prove challenging. However, I wish you good luck.

  4. Marcos,

Great exit strategy. Unlike many students in this class I would want to hold onto my venture for as long as possible as I am a bit sentimental. However if offered the right price I would definitely consider selling my company. I also want my company to provide funds to accomplish bigger and better things. Great job and best of luck on your next endeavor.

Nice job this year on creating a great venture and presenting it in such a great way. It has been great to see how you developed your idea from the start. I think you will be very successful with this particular venture exit strategy, and finding the right buyer is definitely the most important aspect. I wish you the best of luck in the future!
